Jesus said, “Let the children come to me…”   Matthew 19:14

The children who attend the First Congregational Church of Randolph are a wondrous part of our church family, and they are very much visible and involved in church and missionary activities.

Nursery is available for children age 4 years old and under so families may peacefully enjoy the worship service.

Our Sunday School program is open to children in Pre-School through grade 7.  The students attend the beginning part of the worship service to immerse themselves in the worship service.  After reciting the Lord’s Prayer, the Sunday School teachers will lead them to their classroom(s) to begin their captivating Bible story lessons.

Acolyte duties are performed on the first Sunday of the month by two Sunday School students to welcome Jesus’ presence in our church as He is the Light of the world.

The Sunday School curriculum includes Bible stories, animated DVD storytelling, lessons and arts and crafts to familiarize themselves with the lessons in an enjoyable and interactive way.

We teach the children to help their community by donating non-perishable food items to the Friendly Food Pantry during the Thanksgiving and the Super Bowl seasons.  The Sunday School students also collect donated toys and bring them to the Randolph Fire Station’s Toys for Tots drop-off during the Christmas season.

Balloons are given to the Sunday School students to celebrate their birthdays.

The Sunday School year ends with Children’s Sunday in June when the children lead the entire worship service with a special theme each year.  The Sunday School students receive a certificate for their participation in Sunday School and special gift bags.  The students who are graduating 2nd grade receive their own Bibles that are signed by Pastor MaryLou.   A special recognition is given to the high school graduates during the Children’s Sunday service.

We teach the children to be followers of Jesus Christ as He has welcomed them with open arms.
