To be Christian one has a responsibility to also be a good Steward of God's mission and ministry. 

 

Stewardship is an ethic that embodies the responsible planning and management of resources for which we believe all come from the creator. 

  

Each of us are God's stewards.  Every person has time, talent and financial resources. God ask us to give according to our ability and joyfully.  When everyone gives what they can. Together we make God's love and justice real in our Church,  in our communities, in our world.

Why give?

"I really did not understand why churches passed the plate, or why I was always being asked to volunteer or if would like to go to New York on a mission trip.  My perspective changed when someone explained to me that everything we have is a gift from God. Our time is a gift, our talents are gifts, and our finances are the fruit of our labor, which is also a blessing that I am able and willing to work.  Someone else said that when we give we are sowing spiritual seeds for God's mission and Ministry. I get it now and I have been overwhelmingly blessed as I have been faithful to this new revelation."
